Is the Free plan really free forever?
Yes. The Free plan is a permanent tier with full end-to-end encryption and 1 GB of storage. We fund it with subscriptions from paid plans — never by selling your data.
Can nsnumber read my email?
No. Message bodies and attachments are encrypted on your device before they reach us. We store only ciphertext, so we can't read your mail — and we can't hand over readable copies to anyone else.
What happens if I email someone who isn't on nsnumber?
Mail to other nsnumber users is automatically end-to-end encrypted. For everyone else, you can send a password-protected, expiring secure link — or a normal message, clearly labeled so you always know which protection applies.
Can I bring my existing email over?
On Personal and Family, our one-click import brings your mail, contacts, and folders from Gmail, Outlook, or Proton — then re-encrypts the whole archive under your keys. Auto-forwarding keeps your old address working during the switch.
What if I forget my password?
Because your password unlocks your encryption keys, we can't reset it for you. You'll set up a recovery phrase during signup, and your verified recovery email helps you regain access to your account and re-establish keys safely.
Can I cancel or change plans anytime?
Absolutely. Upgrade, downgrade, or cancel whenever you like from your account settings. If you downgrade below your storage usage, we'll help you free up space before anything is affected.
